Robert Karpman
MD, MBA

Dr. Robert Karpman received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, while he was the director of the Phoenix Orthopedic Residency Program. Dr. Karpman has been an entrepreneur for most of his 34 years in the healthcare arena. During his residency in orthopedic surgery, Bob worked with a well known orthopedic company to develop a new device to aid in the healing of fractures. The device was later manufactured and marketed by the company. Later, he received his own patent for a bone screw to aid in the fixation of fractures that occurred in osteoporotic individuals that was later licensed to another orthopedic manufacturer. As a busy clinician, he developed a high quality medical education program in Phoenix, Arizona, performed both clinical and basic science research, wrote a book and many articles in peer review publications.

David Lipson
PhD

Co-Founder / IP / FDA

Dr. David Lipson has over 30 years of experience in Research and Development, and licensing of biomedical devices with 18 publications and over 30 issued US patents. Having initiated the launch of significant new medical products, Dr. Lipson expanded into clinical instruction for new medical products. He has consulted with both start-ups and established companies in biomedical engineering on both technology and developmental issues for new product development. He recently retired from Cornell University where he focused on guiding teams of students on product development in the Master of Engineering Program in the department of Biomedical Engineering. He received his BSEE from Cornell and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Ailiang Nie,
M. Eng.

CTO / Product Development

Ailiang Nie serves as the organization’s CTO and he is responsible for the physical product development. Nie served as a vice-president in product development and product manager in Motorola, Inc. (China headquarter) and Haier Group Corporation (China headquarter) for a combined 15 years. Nie successfully managed and launched various of products to the market for both Motorola, Inc and Haier Group Corporation.

Xinyang Wang,
MS

Operations Research

Xinyang Wang is a graduate from Cornell University. Wang currently serves as the operations research of the organization. He had previous consulting and entrepreneurial experience in both real estate development and operations research.
